For families trying to entertain small children without submitting entirely to glitter cannons adn character dances, Gulliver’s sits in a relatively rare middle space: parks designed specifically for kids aged 2 to 13, with everything scaled accordingly. Meaning fewer 90-minute queue times next to 9-foot animatronics, and more hands-on rides and activities that little ones can actually go on. They’ve quietly built out their footprint to cover four full resort-locations - Warrington, Milton Keynes, Matlock Bath, and now Rotherham - with a fifth compact site (the Dino & Farm Park) tucked within Milton Keynes. If you’re looking for a day trip that won’t require wrestling a six-foot plush character over lunch, Gulliver’s remains squarely in the running. NHS staff and keyworkers occasionally qualify for limited-time discounts, though these offers tend to appear quietly and go quickly.
This was their first park, adn still one of the broadest. Set just outside Cheshire, it’s a sprawling site with themed zones from Western World to Safari Kingdom, plus more traditional carousels, water rides, and small-scale roller coasters. The layout is generous but manageable, and the hotel - stylishly utilitarian in a family-holiday sense - is within walking distance. Though pricing isn’t flashy, online booking routinely comes in several pounds cheaper than buying at the gate. Discounts stack further if you’re visiting as a group, and family tickets are periodically bundled in under special promotions. It's worth checking the homepage before committing, especially outside school holidays, when pop-up deals tend to appear.

Matlock’s hilly terrain makes this the most vertically interesting of the parks. It’s smaller than some of the others, but this also makes for fewer overwhelming choices if you’ve got a time limit or a toddler with a limited tolerance for maps. There’s a pleasingly old-school aesthetic to parts of the site - less screen-based stimulation, more boulder-climbing adn pirate galleons - which works well for under-10s who’ve outgrown Peppa Pig but aren’t quite ready for colossus-sized rides. The on-site Explorer’s Retreat is useful if you’re travelling from further afield, and free parking helps offset the ticket cost. Advance online booking is not just suggested - it's almost always cheaper. NHS workers and Blue Light holders can sometimes access spot discounts here too, typically through limited-time voucher codes.
The Milton Keynes location has grown into something of a mini-compound, now hosting both the main Land resort adn the neighbouring Dinosaur & Farm Park, which can be booked separately. Of all the sites, this is one of the more flexible for multiday visits. The Adventurer’s Village offers cabin-style accommodation directly next to the park, with stylised options like pirate quarters and safari tents. It’s not luxury, but it is functional and child-hyped. The main Land site features around 25 rides and attractions, mostly paced for primary schoolers. Booking online in advance not only saves money but also helps navigate which sections are open seasonally - some areas rotate availability. Additional savings pop up during lower-traffic school weeks, and multibuy options occasionally include access to the Dino & Farm Park across consecutive days.

The newest arrival, adn arguably the most polished. Situated near Rother Valley Country Park, this is the one that feels most like a modern rethinking of the original Gulliver’s model, with a well-laid-out campus and a mix of indoor and outdoor zones that help hedge against northern weather. The rides follow familiar footprints - Ghostly Galleon, Apache Falls, and so on - but the theming is noticeably upgraded here. Accommodation is built into the site, and short breaks promos are regularly advertised. NHS or keyworker discounts are not always guaranteed, but occasional offers tied to Blue Light or seasonal thank-you campaigns have run in past years, particularly around off-peak months. If you're local, it's also worth checking the £99 Annual Passport, which covers return access across all four full-sized resort parks and tends to pay for itself after about three visits.
Technically part of the Milton Keynes footprint but operating as a standalone site, this is the most specialised of the bunch - less coasters, more goats adn stegosauruses. Expect animatronic dinosaurs, a handful of traditional fairground setups, and a functioning petting zoo. It's a gentler option for younger kids or for repeat local visits where you’re not committing to a full day. It’s included in some multi-attraction passes but usually requires separate ticketing. Discount codes and promotional rates surface sporadically, particularly during off-season weeks when the park runs special outdoor events or education-themed activity days. Like the others, under-3s generally go free, and booking ahead typically saves at least a few quid per person.
